Product Description
The Durbanville Hills Sauvignon Blanc boasts a delightful combination of papaya, grapefruit, lime and melon on the nose. The palate is a combination of fruit flavours and green pepper with a crisp acidity and full mouth-feel. It is a medium-bodied wine with a mix bowl of tropical fruit flavours, citrus and ends with a lingering freshness.
Pair with fresh herbs and citrus flavours, such as our Lemon Herb Chicken Flattie. As this Sauvignon Blanc has herbal and citrusy aromas, the most complimentary dishes would be one with fresh herbs or citrus-based sauces. It also complements light meats like turkey and pork tenderloin.
Nine leading vineyard owners in the Durbanville district joined forces with Distell to create Durbanville Hills. Their aim is to promote the regional individuality of this prime wine-growing area. The striking Durbanville Hills cellar sits on the side of a series of rolling hills with magnificent views of Table Mountain and Table Bay; the very geography that lies at the heart of what makes the wines so unique.
Durbanville Hills is particularly known for this award winning Sauvignon Blanc, which thrives in the cool climate of the region. The winery’s Sauvignon Blancs often display vibrant tropical fruit flavours, crisp acidity, and a refreshing minerality.
